Setting the Time

1.
Pull the crown out to the second position (fully extended). The second hand will stop — this allows for precise time setting.
2.
Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the correct hour and minute.
3.
Once the correct time is set, push the crown back in fully to resume timekeeping.
4.
To ensure accuracy, set your watch against a trusted time source.

Setting the Date

1.
Pull the crown out to the first position (one click out).
2.
Turn the crown clockwise to advance the date forward.
3.
Important: Do not adjust the date between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM — the movement's date mechanism is engaged during this window and forcing a change can cause damage.
4.
Push the crown back in fully once the correct date is set.

The Northstar Meridian features an automatic (self-winding) movement powered by your natural wrist motion.
2.
If the watch has stopped due to non-use, manually wind it by turning the crown clockwise approximately 20–30 full rotations with the crown in its default (pushed-in) position.
3.
For optimal performance, wear your watch regularly or store it in a watch winder set to bidirectional winding.
4.
Avoid over-winding — the movement includes a slip clutch mechanism that prevents damage, but unnecessary force is best avoided.

The Northstar Meridian is water resistant. Refer to the caseback of your specific reference for the rated depth.
2.
Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged or wet.
3.
Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorine.
4.
Water resistance can degrade over time — have the gaskets inspected during your regular service interval.

Clean the case and bracelet/strap periodically with a soft, lint-free cloth. For metal bracelets, a soft brush with mild soapy water can be used.
2.
Avoid exposure to strong magnetic fields (speakers, MRI machines, magnetic clasps) as these can affect movement accuracy.
3.
Keep your watch away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, and harsh chemicals including perfumes and solvents.
4.
Store your watch in its original box or a padded watch case when not in use.

2.
Signs your watch may need service: reduced power reserve, unusual sounds from the movement, condensation inside the crystal, or significant timekeeping deviation.
